What is The Doron Yoga Method?
The Doron Yoga ashtanga vinyasa teacher training program is a life-changing, growth and transformational opportunity. Doron Yoga is a holistic approach to yoga – and more broadly, to life – blending meditation, pranayama, asana, food and nutrition, Ayurveda, mind training, philosophy, energy work, and much more for a healthy, well-balanced life. When you grow as an individual, learn about yourself, deepen your practice, and become an example for others, you naturally develop into a great teacher and a better person.
How Does The Doron Yoga Method Work?
The training will give you a practical teaching toolbox that will teach you how to employ the appropriate method for different situations and students. You will be given ancient wisdom based on age-old traditions in a practical and non-dogmatic way. The teachings will deepen your yoga practice and give you new insights into life hence you will learn to embody and live yoga.
Why is The Doron Yoga Method for me?
Beyond a teacher training, this is a personal journey for anyone engaging on a process of personal-enquiry – a time for increasing self-awareness and deepening your relationship with your practice whether or not you wish to go on to teach. For those who do wish to teach, our approach recognizes that being able to inspire others with the practice comes from the passion you truly hold for it, the depth of your understanding of it, and your ability to communicate it to your students. This course cultivates these skills to help prepare you to contribute to the yoga community through your teaching and practice.
“The 200 hour teacher training with Doron was a true pleasure and it exceeded my expectations completely. We were taught thoroughly not just about the Asanas, but also about the history, philosophy, and evolution of Yoga and the Sutras. Doron facilitated and helped our group live “the yoga lifestyle” during our 3 weeks together; from eating practices and Ayurvedic nutritional concepts, to daily meditation, Pranayama, and the importance of mindfulness in everyday actions. I left the training with a new perspective and total confidence in my ability to teach Yoga and facilitate a well-balanced, beneficial class for all levels. The training gave me the inspiration and the tools to continue with my own daily self-practice, which was one of my biggest goals going into the training. Additionally, our group was small but very diverse in personalities and backgrounds and I constantly marveled at Doron’s ability to adjust to and manage such a varied clan of people. By the end of the 3 weeks, we all had a strong sense of connection and love for one another and we didn’t want the training to end! I will cherish my experience and the friends I made along the way for a lifetime to come. Thank you, Doron.” – Landra Scherer, CA. USA. 2016 Guatemala TTC

I’m in! What is the program structure?
The curriculum is based on the teachings of Krishnamacharya, particularly from the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition along with selected wisdom from a variety of yoga and Buddhist traditions. These include alignment from Iyengar and western physics, kundalini pranayama and Bhakti chanting, as well as Zen and Ayurveda (learn how to balance yourself and others with food, nutrition, yoga and lifestyle).
First of all, we will establish very strong foundations, and build on top of that. It will all be super clear, and easy to remember (using fun teaching systems).
We learn the ashtanga primary series, but more than that we learn a sustainable vinyasa system. The program includes a very solid structure for building a sequence (based on the first 2 series of ashtanga and more). There are 19 building blocks, each with a variety of poses to choose from. This means you get a basic structure that keeps the class balanced and healthy, but with flexibility to change and vary according to levels or just for fun. It is very much balanced between a strong yang practice (movement but with mind focus and breath), along with some stillness, of deep stretching.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I graduate this program as a certified yoga teacher?
After completing the training you will be eligible for the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher credential at the 200-hour level (RYT-200)
Will we receive any study materials?
You will receive a teacher-training manual PDF written especially for the course. The manual includes articles, pose worksheets, and information on all of the subjects taught in the course. Materials include pranayama, philosophy, chakras and subtle anatomy, chants, and more.
Do I need to be able to do all those fancy poses?
Not at all. This is part of the training. We will learn how to do them, and for some, it will not matter, as this is not what they want to teach.
Is there any Iyengar influence in the teaching?
Yes, in the sense that we do lots of detailed alignment. Much of the training is based on the Krishnamacharya tradition (which includes Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vini Yoga). Unlike Iyengar, the training will not emphasize the use of props (such as chairs).
Will I have at least one good sequence I can start teaching with?
Absolutely. First, you will be teaching a one hour class all on your own, and furthermore, you will know the sequencing logic behind it, and have Doron’s system to add, modify and change classes as needed.
Will I learn how to teach a variety of students?
Absolutely. Yoga is for everyone. You will learn how to create a practice that is beneficial, enjoyable and safe for every student. Beyond this, you will learn how to modify poses based upon the individual student, how to choose asanas to safely strengthen and stretch students with injuries and how to design a practice for students with physical limitations. Finally, there will be time devoted to prenatal yoga.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Doron Hanoch changed my life, literally. Not only because I have learned so much about yoga, its history and philosophy, ayurveda, pranayama techniques, anatomy, but also because I have learned so much about myself, my true self. TTC with Doron has kicked off the process of my self exploration and brought up many new questions. I started to meditate (I never thought I will be able to sit and focus on my breathing and let the thoughts go one day)… Words can not express how much I am thankful to Doron for being an inspiration, both strict & caring, dedicated & funny teacher. He is really that kind of teacher who knows how to bring out the best in the students.
– Anna Suchá, Slovakia
What I love about his style is that he sticks quite a bit to “traditional” Ashtanga style, but keeps it flexible, to make it more balanced and suitable for most people. Doron teaches in a fun and light manner yet he has a lot of knowledge and experience in meditation and philosophy. He is a modern spiritual yogi who lives his life be present in the moment, to make the most out of it while working towards stopping the fluctuations of the mind. Thank you so much for everything.
– Daniela Gechtman, Israel
Doron Yoga is a comprehensive and user-friendly method for learning and growing a personal yoga practice, first as a student and with experience as a teacher. His words and lectures are engaging; there is humor but little unnecessary dialogue. Throughout the training with Doron, I felt exhausted, in a good way, as Doron managed to pack in an abundance of teaching into a short time.
I recommend anyone with an interest in deepening his or her yoga practice to engage with Doron. You will not be let down.
