Testimonials

Daniela Gechtman - Doron Yoga Teacher Training Graduate

What I love about his style is that he sticks quite a bit to the “traditional” Ashtanga style, but keeps it flexible to make it more balanced and suitable for most people. Doron teaches in a fun and light manner yet he has a lot of knowledge and experience in meditation and philosophy. He is a modern spiritual yogi who lives his life to be present in the moment, to make the most out of it while working towards stopping the fluctuations of the mind. Thank you so much for everything.

Anna Sucha Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training NepalAshtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Doron Hanoch changed my life, literally. Not only because I have learned so much about yoga, its history and philosophy, ayurveda, pranayama techniques, and anatomy, but also because I have learned so much about myself, my true self. TTC with Doron has kicked off the process of my self-exploration and brought up many new questions. I started to meditate (I never thought I would be able to sit and focus on my breathing and let the thoughts go one day)… Words can not express how much I am thankful to Doron for being an inspiration, both strict & caring, dedicated & funny teacher. He is really that kind of teacher who knows how to bring out the best in the students.

– Anna Suchá, Slovakia

Ethan KlivansDoron Yoga is a comprehensive and user-friendly method for learning and growing a personal yoga practice, first as a student and with experience as a teacher. His words and lectures are engaging; there is humor and on-point dialogue. Throughout the training with Doron, I felt exhausted, in a good way, as Doron managed to pack in an abundance of teaching into a short time.

I recommend anyone with an interest in deepening his or her yoga practice to engage with Doron. You will not be let down.

The program structure

The curriculum draws from the teachings of Krishnamacharya, with a focus on the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition. We also incorporate selected wisdom from a variety of yoga and Buddhist traditions, including alignment principles from Iyengar and western physics, kundalini pranayama, Bhakti chanting, Zen, and Ayurveda. Through this comprehensive approach, you’ll learn how to balance yourself and others with food, nutrition, yoga, and lifestyle.

We prioritize building strong foundations and making the material easy to remember by using fun teaching systems. While we teach the Ashtanga primary series, our goal is to impart a sustainable vinyasa system that you can adapt to your own needs and the needs of your students. We’ve created a solid structure for building a sequence based on 19 building blocks, each with a variety of poses to choose from. This approach provides a basic structure that keeps classes balanced and healthy, while also allowing for flexibility to modify based on levels or for variety. The program is balanced between a strong yang practice (movement with focus on the breath and the mind) and stillness, with opportunities for deep stretching.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I graduate this program as a certified yoga teacher?

After completing the training you will be eligible for the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher credential at the 200-hour level (RYT-200)

Will we receive any study materials?

You will receive a teacher-training manual PDF written especially for the course. The manual includes articles, pose worksheets, and information on all of the subjects taught in the course. Materials include pranayama, philosophy, chakras and subtle anatomy, chants, and more.

Do I need to be able to do all those fancy poses?

Not at all. This is part of the training. We will learn how to do them, and for some, it will not matter, as this is not what they want to teach.

Is there any Iyengar influence in the teaching?

Yes, in the sense that we do lots of detailed alignment. Much of the training is based on the Krishnamacharya tradition (which includes Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vini Yoga). Unlike Iyengar, the training will not emphasize the use of props (such as chairs).

Will I have at least one good sequence I can start teaching with?

Absolutely. First, you will be teaching a one hour class all on your own, and furthermore, you will know the sequencing logic behind it, and have Doron’s system to add, modify and change classes as needed.

Will I learn how to teach a variety of students?

Absolutely. Yoga is for everyone. You will learn how to create a practice that is beneficial, enjoyable and safe for every student. Beyond this, you will learn how to modify poses based upon the individual student, how to choose asanas to safely strengthen and stretch students with injuries and how to design a practice for students with physical limitations. Finally, there will be time devoted to prenatal yoga.
