About  Our Accommodations

All of our accommodations at Doron Yoga & Zen Center were built with care by local Mayan craftspeople and constructed with ecological practices in mind. Rustic and charming, rooms have either a jungle, garden, or lake view; they are decorated with murals, local art and textiles.

The property offers three types of accommodation: private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private rooms with shared bathrooms, and dormitory rooms with shared bathrooms. All bathrooms have hot showers with either gas or solar heated water and western toilets (eco treatment). We source water from a spring supplied by the municipality as well as river water that runs through the property.

Casa Feliz is a two story log and stone cabin consisting of two private rooms downstairs and a six bed dormitory room upstairs. The dormitory room has private lock boxes for each guest and shared shelving for belongings. Take in the views of the surrounding mountains, lake, and lush greenery from the upstairs porch. The shared bathroom is outdoors with private stalls; it has three western-style toilets, two sinks and two showers with gas-heated water.

Casa Lotus is a one story log and stone cabin. It features one private room and one five bed dormitory room with jungle views. The dormitory room has private lock boxes for each guest and shared shelving for belongings. Colorful and spacious, Guatemalan textiles and natural building materials add liveliness to this space. The private room features a beautiful hand painted mural of the earth goddess, Tara. The shared bathroom is outdoors with private stalls; it has three western-style toilets, two sinks and two showers with gas-heated water.

Steps away from the permaculture garden, Casa Amor is a one story log cabin with three private accommodations and a shared porch with hammocks where you can enjoy the lawn, garden and Lake views. Additionally, all three rooms in Casa Amor have their own private bathrooms, with a western-style toilet, sink and indoor heated shower.

With large mirrored windows overlooking natural views of volcanoes, mountains, garden and the Lake Atitlan, Casa Ananda is the our newest accommodation. This two-story concrete and stone structure has six private bedrooms, each with the own private bathroom with solar-heated showers. Both floors have wooden deck patios with sitting space and hammock – with a breathtaking views!
In addition, the roof houses an open-air yoga space overlooking the Lake.

Two of the rooms feature three single/twin beds, while four of the rooms feature a double bed along with a single bed. All rooms can therefore hold three guests at capacity.
