How to Do Galavasana Ashtanga Vinyasa Arm Balance
Galavasana Ashtanga Vinyasa Arm Balance
Galavasana – flying pigeon pose – is a fun arm balance from the ashtanga yoga series. Here Doron explains how to do this yoga pose from standing rather than from a headstand. This pose requires open hips and some strength but is totally possible, especially after you see this video. In addition, Doron walks you through the process and the modifications you need to make to enable you to balance effectively. Arm balances in general are also a great way to feel your center of gravity and become aware of how to move it around at will.
