Dulse Patties
Delicious Dulse – The Super Seaweed
Dulse patties are a yummy and very healthy side dish that includes the sea vegetable Dulse. It is truly delicious, with a slightly salty flavor. In this recipe we are combining it with other powerful health boosting foods. Oats and rice are both incredibly beneficial for the heart. Omega 3 rich walnuts, great for the functioning of the nerves and the brain. Calcium rich tahini, which helps strengthen bones and hair. Seaweeds in general always give us many unusual minerals and vitamins that are largely unavailable from plants grown on land. Always make sure to use seaweed in your cooking now and then to capture these exotic minerals in your diet.

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup rice, cooked
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup Dulse, soaked for 5 minutes and diced
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons whole-wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Procedure

- Mix and stir all ingredients together with enough dulse soaking water until you can shape the mixture into patties.
- Heat a pan on a medium heat and fry the patties in the olive oil until golden on both sides, approximately 4 minutes each side.
