How to Find Balance in Your Life and Yoga Practice
Find Balance Through Yoga
In this video Doron tells how you can use your yoga practice to find balance between the feminine and masculine sides – yin and yang. The terms Yin and Yang come from Chinese philosophy, where they symbolize two different energies existing. Yang energy is dry, active, hot, focused and fast. Yin energy is slow, passive, soft, cold and wet.
Being aware and staying present in your yoga practice can teach us how to have both yin and yang in the same pose. Engage and activate the parts of you need to work for the yang energy. At the same time, make sure to relax and release the other parts for yin energy. If you are doing something strenuous, see if you can keep your face relaxed and your breath somewhat smooth. However, learning to find balance in your yoga practice is a great step towards bringing this balance into the rest of your life.
