Less Pain, More Happiness
Find Happiness
Life will always have its moments of pain, but it doesn’t mean you have to suffer from it. The attitude of the mind towards the pain will determine whether the pain goes away quickly or becomes a lasting suffering. Learning to control the attitude of the mind will save you from adding more pain to the original pain. We have the power to choose; Suffering is optional.

Yes indeed. It is possible to create even more pain, by following the additional pain of the mind with wrong actions.
So there is the reality that happened, then the pain the mind added, and then actions that were taken by the clouded mind.
Thank Gil! For those that don’t know, Gil writes amazing posts (very refreshing and unexpected) about investment (and investments psychology).

Good video, but I have a questions. Do we need suffering to bring meaning to our lives? What is day without out night? Or pleasure without pain?
Thanks for the question Kent,
We are capable of living a life with no suffering. It does not mean there will not be pain, but rather that we will not suffer from the pain. To get to this place, most people need to go through suffering. So even if suffering is part of the journey, it does not need to remain there for good. The video presents the pain of pain – If I already experienced some pain, why add more to it, if I can avoid it?
